(DENVER – May 20, 2014) – The Denver office of Squire Patton Boggs was once again honored for its commitment to providing pro bono legal services by the Colorado Lawyers Committee (CLC), a nonpartisan consortium of more than 55 Colorado law firms dedicated to creating and increasing opportunities for children, the poor and other disadvantaged communities through advocacy, negotiation and litigation.

The organization presented Squire Patton Boggs with its distinguished Law Firm of the Year Award, in addition to selecting Denver Associate Aaron A. Boschee as one of four finalists nominated for the CLC’s Individual of the Year Award.

In 2013, nineteen attorneys and staff members at the firm devoted time to nine Colorado Lawyers Committee projects. Among other initiatives, volunteers assisted residents of the San Luis Valley with historical claims to access the Taylor Ranch for grazing livestock and collecting timber; and addressed issues related to the improper reduction or termination of Medicaid benefits to individuals with disabilities participating in the Home and Community Based Services-Supported Living Services waiver program.

The Squire Patton Boggs Denver office has been honored in the past for its commitment to pro bono legal services by both the Colorado Supreme Court and the CLC, including previous nominations for Law Firm of the Year.

“It is a great honor to be selected from among many fine firms in the Colorado Lawyers Committee consortium that contribute legal services and resources to the cause,” said Denver office Managing Partner Peter S. Gould. “We are especially proud of our colleague Aaron Boschee, who was selected among hundreds of lawyers to be one of four finalists for the CLC’s prestigious Individual of the Year Award.”
