Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Dr. Jens Rinze as a partner in its Financial Services Practice Group in Germany. He joins the firm’s office in Frankfurt. Dr. Rinze is a leading banking lawyer, who focuses on structured finance, real estate finance, securitization, restructuring and banking regulation. He formerly led the financial services practice for Sidley Austin LLP in Frankfurt.

Dr. Rinze has been recognized by publications including Chambers, Legal 500 and Juve as a leading structured finance lawyer in Germany. His practice has developed to focus on property and property development finance, securitizations, restructuring, loan origination and commercial mortgage-backed securities, as well as acquisition and export finance, and rating agency advisory work. He advises some of Germany’s and Europe’s largest banks, financial institutions, loan services providers, investment management and alternative asset management firms, and rating agencies.

Dr. Rinze’s appointment is the latest investment in Squire Patton Boggs’ global Financial Services Practice Group and follows the recruitment of structured finance experts Mark Thomas in London and Tom Lennox in Sydney and bank regulatory lawyers Bob Barnett, Jim Sivon and Ray Natter in Washington, DC.
