Squire Patton Boggs has strengthened its international trade capabilities in the UK and Europe with the strategic hire of Aline Doussin, who has joined the firm from DLA Piper.  Ms. Doussin previously worked at the Cabinet of the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation in Geneva, and in the European Commission, Internal Market & Services Directorate-General.

Ms. Doussin will serve as a core team member and point of contact in Europe for the Squire Patton Boggs Global Import and Export Compliance Practice and will expand the firm’s international trade policy practice in Europe.  This move contributes to the firm’s strategic expansion as a result of the recent merger with Washington-based law and lobbying firm Patton Boggs LLP.

George Grammas, Co-chair of Squire Patton Boggs International Trade /Global Import and Export Compliance Practice commented: “In the midst of the strengthening of sanctions regimes in the EU and the current negotiations on TTIP, Aline’s significant expertise in the internal trade sphere from both a legal and policy perspective, will enable the firm to provide clients with a unique combined offering on EU and US trade laws, including but not limited to sanctions, TTIP and trade negotiations and broader market access and trade compliance issues.”
