Squire Patton Boggs Florida Regional Managing Partner Traci Rollins has been named one of the “Top 20 Women in Law” by the Daily Business Review. This recognition honors a diverse selection of accomplished women who have made a mark in the South Florida legal community.
As Florida Regional Managing Partner, Ms. Rollins is responsible for overseeing and coordinating three offices: Tampa, Miami, and West Palm Beach. Integrated early in her career into firm management, she also served six years on the firm’s Global Board of Directors. As a testament to her commitment to diversity, Ms. Rollins has been co-chairing the global Diversity Committee for eight years and works tirelessly to promote and support the firm’s diversity initiatives.
Ms. Rollins has substantial complex commercial litigation experience in Florida and US courts, in the cross-border and domestic protection and enforcement of creditors’ rights. Among her more notable cases are: representing a Costa Rica company sued in Florida and facing a foreign anti-suit injunction before the US Supreme Court; petitioning the US Bankruptcy Courts in a nationwide remediation program for a significant bank lender client; and representing a foreign insolvent insurance company in Florida in a Chapter 15 proceeding.
Outside of the legal community, Ms. Rollins dedicates her energies towards causes she believes in. Ms. Rollins first became involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation after one of her twin sons was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She is now the Vice-President/President-Elect of JDRF. Additionally, Ms. Rollins is the team captain for her office’s Komen Breast Cancer walk team (“Ya Yas for the Ta Tas”), and is a member of the Women’s Economic Empowerment Committee of the Alpert Jewish Family & Children’s Service, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization.
The honorees will be saluted at a luncheon on October 15, 2014, at the JW Marriott Miami at 1109 Brickell Avenue.
