The Bratislava office of Squire Patton Boggs has been recommended in the Slovak Law Firm of the Year 2015 Awards in four main categories: Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Banking & Finance, and Development Projects and Real Estate.
The inaugural awards were organized by leading Slovak weekly economic and business publication Trend. The awards were presented in cooperation with EPRAVO Group, an independent company monitoring legal activity in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In 1991, Squire Patton Boggs was one the first global practices to establish an office in Bratislava. Since then, it has been at the forefront of the legal developments in the Slovak Republic.
Recent work highlights in Bratislava include advising a leading global automotive supplier in connection with worldwide sale of its global interiors business and the creation of joint venture in Slovakia, representing the Slovak Republic in an International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes arbitration relating to a claim of lost investments allegedly resulting from the country’s withdrawal of mining rights to a project in Slovakia, and a substantial acquisition financing project by two of the largest banks in the Czech Republic to a leading telecommunication operator in Slovakia.
