Squire Patton Boggs has announced the appointment of Sasha Ivantsoff, a senior restructuring and insolvency lawyer, as of counsel in the firm’s Sydney office.
Mr. Ivantsoff’s practice encompasses a broad range of litigation matters across corporate, commercial and insolvency related areas. His recent work includes being appointed as the customer advocate by the Commonwealth Bank on behalf of the bank’s customers, and acting in a complex financial class action against an international bank in relation to derivatives products.
Previously a partner at Piper Alderman, he re-joins former colleague Amanda Banton who was appointed by the firm at the beginning of this year, along with a team of 11 restructuring, insolvency and litigation lawyers.

Mr. Ivantsoff has acted for insolvency practitioners and creditors and has considerable experience in insolvent trading claims, preference claims, uncommercial transaction claims. He has also acted in financial services matters, breach of director’s duty and Corporations Act cases.
