Defense and Transportation Leader Joins Squire Patton Boggs

    Samuel Adcock has joined Squire Patton Boggs as a Senior Advisor in the Public Policy Practice in Washington DC. Mr Adcock has considerable experience in the defense and transportation industries, further reinforcing the firm’s established strengths in these sectors.

    Mr. Adcock is an accomplished senior business executive with nearly two decades of industry experience. He was Vice President and General Manager of the Mississippi Operations for Airbus Helicopters Inc, having been Senior Vice-President for Airbus Group's predecessor, EADS North America. Before this he was Director of Legislation and Business Development for DaimlerChrysler in Washington and its predecessor Daimler-Benz. 

    Mr. Adcock brings considerable political experience to the firm. Before working in industry, he was Legislative Director for Senator Trent Lott, Co-Chair of the Public Policy Practice at Squire Patton Boggs, and acted as his Director of Defense and Security Policy while Senator Lott was Senate Majority Leader. Mr Adcock ran for Congress in the First Congressional District of Mississippi last year. Between 2002 and 2004, Mr Adcock sat on the Defense Science Board for the Department of Defense.

    Mr. Adcock is the most recent senior hire in the Public Policy Practice at Squire Patton Boggs. Wolfgang Maschek joined the firm on 1 March to head the European Public Policy Practice in Brussels, providing important cross-border public policy links between Capitol Hill and Brussels.
