Squire Patton Boggs partner Traci L. Martinez has been selected to the “Forty under 40” Class of 2016 by Columbus Business First, which recognizes professionals who demonstrate outstanding business ethics, work for the betterment of the community and possess exemplary leadership skills.
Honorees were chosen from a field of more than 240 nominations. The award honors Central Ohio’s best and brightest stars, reviewed upon criteria including career achievements, professional development, community involvement and other industry distinctions. Ms. Martinez is recognized on the list, which includes leaders spanning academia, healthcare, finance, nonprofit and legal industries.
An experienced civil litigator, Ms. Martinez has successfully tried numerous cases and obtained full defense verdicts in discrimination, contract, catastrophic claims and disputes involving electrical, communication and gas utilities matters. She also counsels employers on compliance with laws impacting employer/employee relationships, among other employment issues.
Within the community, Ms. Martinez is a champion of empowering diverse lawyers. She has leadership roles within organizations such as the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the Delaware County Foundation and the Ohio State Moritz College of Law.
Winners will be honored at a May 24 gala at Hollywood Casino Columbus and profiled in the May 27 edition of Columbus Business First.
