Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Erich Hellmold has joined the firm as of counsel in the Financial Services Practice, based in Washington DC. Mr. Hellmold joins the firm from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton.
Mr. Hellmold’s practice is focused on advising commercial and investment banks and financial services companies on corporate and securities transactions and on related regulatory matters. He has extensive experience in public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Mr. Hellmold also has substantial experience advising financial institutions in government investigations and regulatory enforcement actions.

Other recent additions to the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group this year include former chief legal and governance officer at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Patricia Hatler, in Columbus; cross-border debt finance partner, Manuel Mingot, in Madrid; French debt finance partner, Veronique Collin, in Paris; real estate finance partner, Debra Cooper, in Manchester; banking litigation partner , Chris Webber, in London; and senior financial services regulatory lawyer Donald Lamson, who previously spent 30 years at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, in Washington DC.
For the past four consecutive years, Mr. Hellmold was named a Washington DC "Rising Star" in Business and Corporate Law by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers. He was also featured on the 2014 Capitol Pro Bono Honor Roll by the DC Bar Association.
