Squire Patton Boggs landed a #8 spot in Law360’s annual “Global 20” ranking. The list recognizes the 20 firms that had “the biggest global presence and handled the most large, significant and groundbreaking international and cross-border matters over the past year,” according to the publication. This is the firm’s fourth consecutive year on the list.
The firm was also the subject of a profile by Law360, which can be viewed here.
Squire Patton Boggs’ recent combination with San Francisco-based Carroll, Burdick & McDonough was a central theme of the profile, addressing the firm’s growth across Germany, Asia-Pacific and California, as well as its strengthened transportation, compliance and investigations capabilities.
“To be a global firm, differentiation is the key,” said Squire Patton Boggs Chairman and Global CEO Mark Ruehlmann. “We’re always looking for opportunities with differentiation, and many of them will complement our existing best-in-class compliance and investigations practices.”
Squire Patton Boggs has more than 1,500 lawyers in 46 offices spanning 21 countries. Nearly two-thirds of its locations are outside of the United States, across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
