Squire Patton Boggs Expands Environmental Litigation Capabilities with Emily S. Huggins Jones in Cleveland

    Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Emily S. Huggins Jones has joined the firm as partner in its Environmental, Safety & Health Practice, based in Cleveland.

    Ms. Huggins Jones’ practice encompasses all areas of environmental litigation, and she has significant trial experience. Ms. Huggins Jones regularly advises clients on environmental compliance, strategy and planning for business transactions, toxic tort and product liability litigation, as well as maritime litigation and counseling. Additionally, she has a broad knowledge of white collar investigations, including national and international financial and healthcare enforcement actions.

    Ms. Huggins Jones exhibits a strong sense of civic duty in the city of Cleveland. She is the President and Immediate Past Secretary for DANCECleveland and a board member and Governance Committee member of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. Ms. Huggins Jones has held a number of positions in the DRI Women in the Law Committee, including Expert Witness Subcommittee Vice-chair and Corporate Counsel Coordination Vice-chair, and has served as a State Marketing Representative for the DRI Sharing Success Seminar. In addition, she is the former Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Ms. Huggins Jones’ professional memberships include the American Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Maritime Association of the United States and the Ohio Oil & Gas Association.

    Bilingual in French and English, Ms. Huggins Jones graduated from the University of Virginia, with distinction, and received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she served as the executive editor of the Journal of Legislation. She is ranked by the U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers in America and selected as an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star for Environmental Litigation from 2012 to 2016. She was also awarded the YWCA Women of Professional Excellence Award in 2011.
