In naming the firm Corporate Law Firm of the Year, the judges said: “Squire Patton Boggs came out on top in what was the “most competitive category” in this year’s awards.”
This year to date, the team has advised on 51 deals worth over £2.25 billion.
Head of the Leeds Corporate team, Richard Hunt, said: “I’m delighted that we have won Corporate Law Firm of the Year. This is the second time we have won this award in the last three years which, given the competition in the Leeds legal market, is a fantastic achievement and testimony to the commitment and support of everyone in this office and also colleagues from across the firm.
“Coupled with last month’s success for our team in Manchester, who also won Law Firm of the Year at the 2017 Insider Dealmakers Awards for the North West, we have underlined the dominance of our corporate practice across the regional markets. These awards are particularly gratifying as they reflect the views of professionals that we work alongside who are well-placed to judge our success.”
Squire Patton Boggs was ranked Number 1 by volume and value of deals completed in Yorkshire & the Humber in H1 2017 (Experian). The firm won Legal Team of the Year at the 2017 BusinessDesk Rainmaker Awards.
