Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the addition of Glenn A. Brown as of counsel in the firm’s Data Privacy, Cybersecurity & Digital Assets Practice, based in the Atlanta office. Mr. Brown arrives from LexisNexis Risk Solutions, where he served as Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Compliance Officer.

“Serving as chief architect of a successful, global compliance management system, Glenn brings a sophisticated approach to the table when counseling clients on assessing privacy and compliance risk,” said Ann LaFrance, co-chair of the DPC Practice. “Companies face an ever-changing legislative and regulatory landscape and Glenn’s intimate knowledge strengthens our team’s capabilities in developing strategies to address new developments.”

With more than 20 years of private practice and in-house experience, Mr. Brown advises, and provides strategic counsel, on privacy, compliance, and risk priorities within organizations to support growth and success. Mr. Brown also has experience with providing advice as it relates to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), among other similar federal and state statutes.

In his most recent role, Mr. Brown created the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Regulatory Compliance Group that was responsible for drafting and implementing policies relating to a wide range of compliance and privacy topics under US and UK law. Additionally, he had primary responsibility in representing the business in all federal and state examinations, investigations and inquiries relating to compliance.

“I am excited to make Squire Patton Boggs – a renowned firm with a true global platform – my home as I return to private practice,” said Mr. Brown. “I look forward to working alongside a deep bench of talented lawyers and play an active role in expanding our position as a leading firm on US privacy matters.”

Mr. Brown sits on the Board of the American Red Cross of Metropolitan Atlanta, where he is a member of the biomedical committee and Clara Barton society.

Squire Patton Boggs opened its Atlanta office in January 2018 with three partners. Since then, the office has more than quadrupled its headcount, with Mr. Brown counted as the fourteenth lawyer.
