Squire Patton Boggs assisted BIM Group with an exciting new hotel and branded residences project in Halong Bay, Vietnam, to be operated by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
The law firm advised Ha Long Investment Development Limited Company (a subsidiary of BIM Group) in negotiating and documenting a suite of hotel and residences agreements to develop the first international luxury beach front branded resort and residences in Halong Bay, Vietnam. On completion, the hotel will be operated by IHG under its flagship InterContinental brand.
Slated to open in 2023, the InterContinental Halong Bay Resort will feature 175 guest rooms while InterContinental Residences Halong Bay will be made up of 60 apartments and 41 villas. The resort and residences will offer an array of recreational and leisure amenities of the highest standards, including five restaurants and bar outlets, four pools, a gym, a kids club, a spa, and function and meeting rooms (with the largest room to accommodate up to 500 people). Being Halong Bay’s first international luxury resort, the property is expected to set itself apart with immersive resort facilities, complete with its very own private beach and an enviable view of Halong Bay’s famous limestone karst structures.
“Dự án bổ sung cho mối quan hệ hợp tác lâu dài giữa IHG và BIM Group, đưa lĩnh vực khách sạn và biệt thự - căn hộ nghỉ dưỡng tại Việt Nam lên một cấp độ mới – chúng tôi rất vinh dự được góp phần vào công trình ấn tượng này: This project complements the long-standing partnership between IHG and BIM Group, and takes Vietnam hotel and residential offerings to a new level – we were proud to be part of this landmark transaction,” said Rahul Parrab, Asia Pacific Head of Hospitality & Leisure. The Squire Patton Boggs team comprised Rahul, Kevin Lee (associate), Shaista Azam (associate) and Tam Nguyen (paralegal). They worked closely with BIM Group’s experienced in-house legal team and IHG’s legal team.
InterContinental Halong Bay Resort and Residences is the latest project Rahul’s team has assisted BIM Group with.
