Los Angeles Wire Names Squire Patton Boggs Partner Ann-Marie McGaughey to its List of 40 Influential Women of 2020

    Los Angeles Wire has named Squire Patton Boggs partner Ann-Marie McGaughey to its list of 40 Influential Women of 2020. The annual list recognizes women from across the US who are “unafraid to go for positions of power … successful people who do not back down and continually prove that being a woman, in itself, is powerful.”

    Ms. McGaughey is partner in the firm’s Global Corporate Practice Group and focuses on US and cross-border M&A transactions. She represents public and privately held companies, including family businesses, in a wide array of industries, including aviation, technology, retail, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, automotive, travel, construction, health and beauty, and service-oriented areas. Ms. McGaughey has particular skill in representing multinational companies in connection with US transactions and operations, and coordinating multi-discipline and multi-jurisdictional teams. She frequently is recognized as a leader in her field and/or community by legal directories and regional business publications, including Chambers USA, IFLR1000, IFLR1000 United States, The Legal500, Best Lawyers in America, Daily Business Review, Georgia Super Lawyers, Georgia Trend, Atlanta Business Chronicle, and Atlanta Woman Magazine. Ms. McGaughey also serves as Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Atlanta office, which launched in January 2018.

    Ms. McGaughey is the former President and Board member of OnBoard, an organization aimed at increasing the number of women on corporate boards and in executive leadership. She also serves as co-chair of the North American Forum of the International Bar Association and has served as a Judge for the Southeastern Regional Transactions LawMeet. Ms. McGaughey is serving as a Mentor in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Success in Law School Mentoring Program. Additionally, she has been a long-time volunteer as a reading mentor for Everybody Wins! Atlanta, a program focused on improving literacy for children at Title I elementary schools.
