Robert Abrahams is an associate in our Litigation Practice who assists clients with commercial and regulatory disputes.

Robert also has experience assisting landlords with commercial office and retail leasing activities, undertaking due diligence and preparing for the sale of commercial real estate and hotels, as well as assisting with hotel management agreements for the hospitality sector.

Disputes
  • Assisting with defending a claim and pursuing a counterclaim in an action involving alleged breaches of warranties arising from the acquisition of a commercial business, in particular preparing affidavits and briefs of evidence.
  • Assisting with compliance to pre-action discovery orders in proceedings relating to allegations of breach of confidence, contractual interference, and misleading and deceptive conduct made by a trade rival connected with engagement of former employees.
  • Assisting with the review of evidence and preparation of a defence and counterclaim to a landowner defending its title to newly acquired land from claims to adverse possession and easement of prescription from an adjoining landowner.
Commercial Transactions
  • Assisting with leasing activities for retail space at One The Esplanade.
  • Drafted a memorandum of understanding for the potential sale of land in Perth.
  • Assisting with drafting and negotiating hotel management agreements.
  • Assisting with due diligence for the proposed sale of hotels in Perth and Melbourne being undertaken through an “expression of interest” process.
