Richard M. Amoroso

Rich provides insurance advice and expertise to both a number of large multinational corporations, as well as more regionally based companies. Insurance due diligence, contract interpretation, coverage analysis and risk assessment/loss control are all areas that Rich regularly assists clients in better understanding and developing strategies to address proactively.

Rich also serves as an expert witness in complex insurance, reinsurance and captive insurance matters, and serves as an arbitrator in large reinsurance disputes. As a former insurance executive/CEO, Rich has the experience and expertise to assist any trier of fact or arbitrator in understanding the contractual obligations and duties that an insurer or captive manager owes to its insured/captive client.

Having served on several for-profit and non-profit Boards of Directors, Rich also understands the duties and obligation that a Board owes to its policyholders and/or shareholders/stakeholders.

Finally, Rich has more than 30 years of experience handling commercial and business litigation matters, with emphasis in the areas of insurance coverage, complex commercial business disputes and products liability. Rich assists several large consumer products and real estate clients in managing all aspects of their commercial and business litigation matters.

Before entering private practice, Rich served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John V. Singleton, Chief Judge of the Southern District of Texas.
