Olga Bezrukova has been involved in the intellectual property area since 1989, including her experience as a Russian Patent Attorney since 1993 and a Eurasian Patent Attorney since 1996.

    Olga focuses on matters associated with the acquisition and protection of rights to inventions, trademarks and utility models, including drafting related applications and obtaining documents of title. She also drafts technology transfer contracts and agreements, as well as other IP agreements, represents clients in IP-related judicial proceedings, including agreements governing transfers of rights to trademarks and license agreements, and issues reports on breaches of patent/trademark rights and on the legal status of intellectual property items.

    Olga provides advisory services for the clients with regard to protection of their rights for IP objects at the courts; represents the clients at the court proceedings. Also, Olga represents the clients at the Chamber for the Patent Disputes of the Rospatent.

    Olga participated in a variety of global projects related to transfers of rights, licensing of various IP items, including trademarks, technologies, etc.

    As a patent attorney, Olga has extensive experience in obtaining Russian patents in areas such as chemistry, medicine, biology,  biotechnology, mechanics and electrical engineering.

    Olga advises clients on copyright issues, drafts copyright-related agreements and assists with software and database registrations. Also, she provides data encryption advisory services to clients.

    • Representing the Swiss pharmaceutical company in court with regard to violation of its copyrights for the patents by a third parties; proceeding with registration of the patents in the Russian Federation and in Eurasia.
    • Leading and carrying out activities to register patents in the Russian Federation and in Eurasia; registering trademarks on behalf of 3M Company (Russia).
    • Representing a large Russian car manufacturer in court with regard to violation of its copyrights for a patent by third parties.
    • Coordinating and leading a project to represent a major food company in its acquisition of a Russian business, including trademark rights, conducting a due diligence review of IP items which form part of the target assets, negotiating and drafting related agreements.
    • Representing a leading restaurant company in a franchising purchase of famous US brand.
    • Representing a major automobile company in connection with obtaining patents to inventions, industrial samples, trademark registrations, including representing the client in the Chamber for Patent Disputes attached to the Russian patenting authority (Rospatent) and in courts, drafting license agreements.
    • Participating in a project involving acquisition of assets, including trademarks registered in various countries of the globe, on behalf of a major international food company.
    • Representing a Russian pharmaceutical company in its acquisition of several US patents, registering trademarks in various countries of the globe, conducting a due diligence review, and drafting agreements.
    • Leading and assisting in the acquisition of trademark rights by an international company from a major global coffee producer.
    • Representing a major US aerospace corporation in a number of space engine development projects undertaken together with a Russian partner, conducting a legal due diligence review of technologies subject to transfer, and drafting documents, including trademark licensing agreements.
    • Coordinating and leading a civil aircraft development project pursued jointly by a Russian aviation company and a US-based holding entity, drafting documents.
