Ben Chahoud is a senior associate in the Real Estate Practice Group, specialising in acquisitions and disposals, property development and leasing.

Ben has acted for listed and unlisted property funds, private entities and government agencies across a range of large-scale and unique transactions.

In particular, Ben has expertise in drafting, negotiating and advising on sale and purchase agreements, project delivery agreements, joint venture arrangements, leases and property management agreements.

  • Acting for a developer in relation to a project delivery agreement with Land and Housing Corporation to deliver a development consisting of both private and social housing units.
  • Acting for Inmark on the sale of 1 Woolworths Way, Bella Vista NSW, which set a national record for the highest price paid for a suburban office building.
  • Acting for a developer in connection with the subdivision, development and off-the-plan sale of approximately 344 ha of land within the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.
  • Acting for Frasers in connection with the development of Eastern Creek Quarter.
  • Acting for Penrith City Council (as landowner) in relation to a joint venture redevelopment to allow for an integrated aged care and retirement village consisting of 150 units.
  • Acting for Dexus on various sales, including the acquisition of a 50% interest in Rialto Towers, 525 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC.
  • Acting for a Canadian pension fund on the acquisition of agricultural land throughout Australia.
  • Acting for property groups, such as Frasers, Charter Hall, EG Funds and Billbergia.
  • Acting for various service station operators on the acquisition, disposal and leasing of service station sites across every state in Australia.
  • Acting for AMP, as landlord, on the pre-commitment leasing of Quay Quarter Tower, 50 Bridge Street, Sydney NSW.
