Stanislav Ďurica’s practice focuses on employment, general corporate, litigation and arbitration matters and intellectual property.
Stanislav advises Slovak and foreign multinational companies on all areas of individual employment law, in particular hiring, restructuring, transactions, employee transfers, personnel adjustment measures, termination of employment and related disputes (especially when top management is involved).
Stanislav is part of our strong worldwide Labour & Employment team, providing to our clients a new, innovative and competitive platform – Global Edge – which has substantially increased our client offering. This enables us to advise our multinational clients with little input from outside counsel going forwards, saving them both time and costs.
He has experience of providing clients with commercial advice in litigations and arbitrations, including those with international aspects. He has participated in a number of the largest due diligence processes in Slovakia and has prepared and reviewed a number of various legal documents, analyses and legal opinions. Moreover, he has advised foreign multinational companies on all areas of industrial property law, especially regarding trademarks, unfair competition, trade secrets, trade names and protection of legal entities, and on questions relating to proceedings and disputes before the respective Slovak state authorities or EU authorities and courts, in transactions, registrations, oppositions, cancellations, licenses and other matters with respect to IP law in Slovakia, including disputes and settlements regarding unfair competition and infringement of IP rights.
Prior to joining the firm, Stanislav worked as an associate in the largest Slovak law office for more than 12 years.
Stanislav is a member of the Slovak Bar Association. In addition, he represents the firm in the Civil Code Task Force Committee, the Employment and Social Affairs Committee, and the Healthcare Committee of American Chamber of Commerce.
