Borja Echegoyen is a member of the Corporate Practice Group. He has more than 12 years of experience, with particular expertise in advising national and international clients on a wide range of transactional matters, with a particular focus on corporate law, general business transactions, multijurisdictional due diligence, companies’ relocations, mergers and acquisitions, winding-ups, shareholders’ agreements and assistance in complex commercial contracts.

    Borja has also counselled clients on M&A deals involving different businesses, such as recycling, fashion, food distribution, veterinary, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, automotive and chemistry.

    Prior to joining the firm, Borja gained experience at Bancaja – a Spanish middle size bank – mostly in the real estate field, particularly in respect of the purchase and sale of real estate assets and sale and lease back operations, including drafting various real estate financing documents, and mortgage and loan documents.

    • Providing counsel to international M&A clients on day-to-day matters, including incorporation of legal entities, corporate compliance, board and general meeting regulations, shareholders’ agreements and complex mergers and acquisitions.
    • Advising a US-based pharmaceutical company on the negotiation of terms and conditions of clinical trial agreements with six Spanish hospitals.
    • Advising on the relocation of companies worldwide.
    • Advising clients on corporate and non-corporate joint ventures relating to construction and civil engineering projects.
    • Advising on numerous transactions in the South American market, including advising on international joint ventures and international mergers between European and South American entities, as well as the restructuring of South American groups through the efficient use of holding companies.
