Borja Echegoyen is a member of the Corporate Practice Group of Squire Patton Boggs. He advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters with a particular focus on corporate law, general business transactions, due diligence reviews, and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, he assists private companies in the preparation of annual meeting materials, drafting and enforcement of agreements under Spanish Law, registration statements, corporate governance and in real estate general business transactions.
Borja also has experience in drafting distribution agreements, agency agreements, share purchase agreements and shareholders' loans and security agreements, and advising non-Spanish companies on how to establish subsidiaries in Spain. Also, he has certain knowledge in sports law, having provided counsel to foreign and local football clubs under Spanish Law.
Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Borja gained experience at Bancaja – a Spanish middle size bank – where he drafted various real estate financing documents, mortgage and loan documents and improved his legal research skills.
