Chris Eddlestone is the Executive Director of Business Development for our global hospitality & leisure group and has more than 30 years’ experience in various areas of law.
He joined Squire Patton Boggs from Halliwells where he spent 10 years and prior to that was founder partner of Preston-based Birchall Blackburn, which he built from a predominantly conveyancing practice to a general practice with eight offices throughout Lancashire.
Chris has practiced in a number of areas of work but throughout his time has predominantly been an advocate and, more recently, a licensing specialist. He brings to hospitality and leisure clients a unique insight into the industry in general, having been involved as an owner/operator for more than 20 years. His skills of law and industry allow him to bring a different perspective in his advice and add value to the traditional legal work which is taken for granted in larger international practices.
Chris’ clients range from independent hoteliers and pub operators through to international businesses and his connections spread through corporate advisors, banks and industry advisors in general. Chris has been a director of four companies involved in the sector and is also the founder of the Annual Hotel Conference, which is the largest conference for independent hotel operators in the UK. He is a life member of MacMillan Cancer Relief and chairman of The East Lancashire Prince’s Trust and is a regional board member.
