Claire Evans is a trade mark attorney in our Intellectual Property &Technology Practice Group based in our London office. She has acted for a wide range of clients, including those in the fields of food and drink, finance and real estate.

    Prior to joining the firm, Claire worked in house as trade marks administrator for a large entertainment company before moving into private practice. During this time, Claire undertook a five-month secondment at a multinational alcoholic beverages company.

    • Advising new start-ups on the availability, protection, use, exploitation and enforcement of their trade marks.
    • Preparing submissions for UK hearings against the provisional refusal of trade mark applications.
    • Drafting and sending cease and desist letters for an expanding parcel delivery company.
    • Providing infringement advice to, and assisting with successful internet takedowns for, a well-known lighting company.
    • Working with customs officials to intercept and report counterfeit products.
    • Filing oppositions and monitoring disputes for multiple clients across various sectors.
    • Gathering evidence and formulating arguments for an invalidity action on behalf of a client in the restaurant industry before the EU Intellectual Property Office.
    • Negotiating the terms of a worldwide coexistence agreement for a foreign exchange client.
