Claire Evans is a trade mark attorney in our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group based in our London office. She acts for a wide range of clients, including those in the fields of advertising, food and drink, real estate, the media and video game development.

    Prior to joining the firm, Claire worked in-house as trade marks administrator for a large entertainment company before moving into private practice. During this time, Claire undertook a five-month secondment at a multinational alcoholic beverages company.

    • Advising new start-ups on the availability, protection, use, exploitation and enforcement of their trade marks.
    • Reviewing proposed marketing campaigns and providing advice on the infringement risks for a global advertising agency.
    • Conducting trade mark clearance searches and advising on the availability of new brand names for a motorway services company.
    • Overseeing a substantial worldwide trade mark filing project for a medical aesthetics company.
    • Preparing and submitting arguments to successfully overcome the refusal of an EU trade mark application for a large video games developer.
    • Drafting and sending cease and desist letters on behalf of a cosmetics company.
    • Filing oppositions and monitoring disputes for multiple clients across various sectors.
