Jarrett L. Fugh is a partner in the Real Estate and Corporate Practices, resident in the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.

    Jarrett represents real estate clients in the acquisition, financing, development and leasing of real property, with an emphasis on hospitality and resorts. He helps clients in the origination and restructuring of syndicated, mezzanine and securitized loans, as well as in the construction financing of major commercial, residential and hospitality properties. Clients turn to Jarrett to advise on the formation and structuring of joint ventures and other vehicles for both developers and institutional investors in real estate projects.

    In addition, Jarrett advises corporate clients in mergers, acquisitions and corporate financings, particularly in the technology sector. He also assists institutional and individual investors with structuring and consummating venture financings, private equity funds and other private debt and equity investments.

    • Represented major investment bank in the US$650 million construction loan for the 800 room JW Marriott hotel, 200 room Ritz Carlton hotel, and 224 branded Ritz‐Carlton residences at LA Live in Los Angeles.
    • Representing major Asian hotel group in the purchase and acquisition financing of the Sofitel New York Hotel, a luxury full‐service hotel located in mid‐town Manhattan in New York City.
    • Represented major Asian hotel group in the debt financing of a full‐service hotel located on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii.
    • Represented major Asian hotel group in the purchase and acquisition financing of new Marriott select services hotel located in mid‐town Manhattan in New York City.
    • Represented major Asian hotel group in the debt financing of the San Francisco W Hotel in San Francisco, California.
    • Represented a major international hotel group in connection with the recapitalization and refinancing of a five‐star luxury hotel in New York City.
    • Represented major Asian hotel group in the purchase of the San Francisco W Hotel, along with the negotiation (on behalf of the new owner) of the management agreement with the hotel operator. Represented same owner in the refinancing of the San Francisco W Hotel.
    • Represented major international hotel group in a swap transaction of interests in luxury hotels in New York City, Turnberry Isle, Florida, and Geneva, Switzerland.
    • Represented a major international hotel group in the refinancing of a five‐star luxury hotel in Miami.
    • Represented a major international hotel group in the management and branding agreements for the luxury hotels and branded residences and villas in (i) Turks and Caicos, (ii) St. Kitts and (iii) Cayman Islands (three separate transactions).
    • Represented a major international hotel group in the joint venture and development of a five‐star luxury hotel in Washington DC. Represented the same client in the management agreements for management of such hotel, and in the construction and permanent financings of such hotel.
    • Represented a major international hotel group in the management and branding agreements for a five‐star luxury hotel and branding residences in Boston. Represented the same client in a mezzanine loan to the developer of the hotel and residences.
    • Represented owner in the sale‐leaseback of a ski resort in Lake Tahoe, California.
