Susan is of counsel in the Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group. Susan specialises in large complex, commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

    Susan has over 17 years of experience in advising and representing companies, government departments and professional services firms in a wide range of commercial disputes. She is known to be committed, practical, totally reliable and capable of running large and complex matters.

    • Acted in a claim in the Federal Court for misfeasance in public office against officers of the Department of Immigration and Border Protections.
    • Acted for a professional services firm in a large class action.
    • Acted in two ASIC investigations, one concerning whether a company’s website was misleading and the other concerning whether an application for an Australian Financial Services Licence was misleading.
    • Defended a claim against a major firm for auditor’s negligence and misleading and deceptive conduct in the Federal Court of Australia.
    • Defended a multimillion-dollar claim for misfeasance in public office, brought against ASIC for cancellation by it of a financial services licence. Susan was instructed on this matter by a major Australian bank.
