Ewa Gutkowska
Associate/Aplikant Adwokacki
Ewa Gutkowska is a registered legal trainee and is supporting our Warsaw team in data protection, international dispute resolution (IDR) and real estate matters. Despite Ewa’s having graduated in 2020, she has already acquired significant experience in advising within data protection, consumer law and litigation.
Ewa advises entities from a variety of sectors, including e-commerce, insurance and finance. She specialises in advice concerning personal data transfers under data processing and coadministration models, personal data transfers to third countries, and personal data protection management improvements within organisations.
In 2020, Ewa graduated from law school (Master of Laws), and, in 2023, she completed a postgraduate programme in new technologies law at Kozminski University.
- Participating in personal data protection implementation and compliance projects.
- Conducting audits and due diligence of personal data protection compliance, drafting legal opinions, agreements and recommendations for clients concerning personal data protection and consumer regulations – both regarding clients’ core and supporting operations (e.g. marketing and HR) – and advising on interdisciplinary projects, such as cloud computing.
- Advising in administrative proceedings before the president of the Personal Data Protection Office and liaising with that authority, including reporting personal data protection violations, supporting supervisory authorities’ audits and advising on data subjects’ complaints.
- Advising in court and administrative proceedings before Voivodeship Administrative Courts and the Supreme Administrative Court, including providing support in drafting pleadings to challenge decisions issued by the president of the Personal Data Protection Office, and participating in hearings.
- Advising in civil proceedings, including providing support in drafting pleadings, particularly in construction matters.
