Iliana Haleen’s practice focus is intellectual property law encompassing national and multijurisdictional brand portfolio management, trademark prosecution and licensing.
She also has extensive experience in the design and implementation of multijurisdictional enforcement programs. Iliana represents and counsels multinational clients on anticounterfeiting measures in cooperation with customs authorities with the goal of combating cross-border trafficking of counterfeit goods and preventing parallel imports. She also cooperates with the corporate practice group on intellectual property issues regarding due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and outsourcings.
Iliana has appeared in appeal cases before the General Court of the European Union and regularly represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the EU trademark agency OHIM and the German Patent and Trademark Office.
