    Shieana Hamid is a New Zealand-qualified associate in our Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group. She practices in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on matters relating to the corporations legislation and securities class actions.

    Shieana began her career in commercial litigation at one of New Zealand’s leading litigation firms, before moving to the Government Legal Department in the UK.

    • Junior counsel in arbitration involving an international highway products distributor relating to a breach of a distribution agreement.
    • Assisted with advice to the Commerce Commission (NZ) in cases involving price fixing and anti-competitive behaviour.
    • Conducted litigation for the Treasury Solicitor (UK) on behalf of the Secretary of State in public law matters, including judicial review claims relating to the European Economic Area Regulations.
