Niyala Harrison is an associate in the Miami office where she focuses her practice on public finance matters, representing cities, counties, state agencies and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations on tax-exempt financings.

Niyala earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami in 2012, where she was named a Dean’s Scholar and an Outstanding Public Interest Scholar. While attending law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable A.J. Cristol in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.

  • Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Niyala was an associate in a boutique white-collar defense firm, representing clients involved in federal investigations facing enforcement actions by the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Before practicing law, Niyala worked for more than two years as a City Planner for a municipality in Broward County, guiding the growth and development of the city.
