Victoria is an associate in our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group based in our London office.

    Victoria has experience in commercial and intellectual property matters, including advising clients in the technology, media and advertising, and entertainment and sports industries. Victoria has a particular interest in AI and advises clients in the industry. She is also a member of the Society for Computers & Law.

    Having worked in-house and undertaken two secondments, including to Live Nation (one of the world’s largest live music and entertainment companies), Victoria brings a first-hand understanding of the issues faced by clients.

    • Advising a consortium of global investment banks on the establishment and formation of a fixed income pre-trade data information network (including establishing and negotiating development agreements with technology and infrastructure providers). This includes advising on access and use agreements for the platform on an ongoing basis.
    • Advising an investor on the development of a platform involving AI technology (including advice on training data).
    • Advising a leading client in the holiday and leisure industry on the transformation of its networks across the UK (including establishing and negotiating agreements with technology and infrastructure providers).
    • Advising a producer of electric range-extended vehicles on licensing its technology as part of a wider investment (including establishing and negotiating the technology licence agreement and supplementary advice).
    • Providing general commercial legal support to application software developers and advising a start-up developer on partnership engagement with corporate clients.
    • Advising clients on the IP, IT and commercial law aspects of corporate transactions (including advising on the intellectual property aspects of investments in technology companies, including open source software).
    • Other advice includes preparing terms and conditions for access and use of a microsite for a large biopharmaceutical company, and advising on content licences for engagement with social media platforms and terms of website use and terms of service for small start-ups.
