Helen Hoath is a director in our commercial and dispute resolution team based in our Manchester office. 

    Her particular expertise covers commercial property disputes and commercial landlord and tenant disputes. Helen has more than 25 years’ experience advising on contentious property and landlord and tenant matters and of litigation, arbitration and mediation of property and landlord and tenant disputes.

    • Representing a client in proceedings in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) Agricultural Land and Drainage and before an arbitrator in relation to the termination of agricultural tenancies at Carlisle Airport where the land is required for redevolpment.
    • Acting for landlords in successfully forfeiting a long lease of a building on the grounds of the tenant’s failure to repair, following earlier successful permission proceedings pursuant to the Leasehold Property (Repairs) Act.
    • Undertaking large amounts of title rectification work for NRAM Plc and Mortgage Express including document rectification, boundary and subrogation issues, lost deeds applications and professional negligence claims.
