James is a lawyer in our Labour & Employment practice based in our Leeds office.

    His particular expertise covers all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment law. James undertakes his own advisory for clients at Employment Tribunal hearings and he has experience in advisory and corporate support work.

    • Providing ad-hoc advice to clients in relation to restructuring/re-organisation matters where TUPE issues have arisen.
    • Advising a national finance provider in relation to a large redundancy exercise.
    • Successfully defended a TUPE claim against a large retailing company.
    • Defending various Employment Tribunal claims including complex unfair/constructive dismissal, sex, disability and race discrimination.
    • Advising on a number of compromise agreements for companies and individuals.
    • Undertaking due diligence exercises for various corporate projects.
    • Completing statutory discrimination questionnaires and responses.
