Matthew Kingsland is an associate in our Restructuring & Insolvency team. Matthew’s experience encompasses a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, including claims in relation to breaches of the Corporations Act, contractual disputes and securities class actions.

    Prior to joining our Restructuring & Insolvency team, Matthew worked as a paralegal in the construction team, where he assisted in various complex disputes before the NSW Supreme Court, as well as in foreign jurisdictions.

    • Acting for the liquidator of a former ASX-listed construction company in proceedings against its former directors and auditors.
    • Acting on behalf of liquidators of a construction company in proceedings brought against a former subcontractor.
    • Acting in class action proceedings brought by investors against Standard & Poor’s relating to credit ratings assigned to certain synthetic collateralised debt obligations.
    • Acting for the applicant and group members in a securities class action against the directors and auditors of a former ASX-listed company.
