Dr. Benjamin Kroymann focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and general corporate work, with an emphasis on emerging and frontier markets. After being stationed in Shanghai for six years, he recently relocated to Berlin and is now dividing his time between our Berlin and Shanghai offices. Ben has more than 15 years of China-related experience and heads our China Desk in Germany. He is vice chairman of the German-Chinese Business Association (DCW), Berlin-Brandenburg region, and chair of the German-Chinese Lawyers' Association (DCJV), Berlin chapter. As a board member of the German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein) and a member of our firm’s global Africa Steering Committee, he is also experienced in handling transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa. Ben is fluent in German, English, Mandarin, French and Spanish, and conversational in Portuguese.

    Since 2013, Ben is recommended as a "Leader in his Field" by Chambers & Partners for Chinese-German deals. He is the author and co-author of several books on Chinese law, and speaks and writes regularly on Chinese legal matters. Ben studied in Berlin, Madrid, New York and Shanghai, among other places.
