Alexandre Le Ninivin’s practice focuses on commercial, banking and contractual deals with a particular interest in European insolvency and corporate and debt recovery matters, both contentious and non-contentious.

    As litigator and a negotiator, Alexandre is capable of advising clients and devising the most effective strategy to resolve their problems or conflicts.

    In order to enhance the link between the Paris and London offices, Alexandre undertook a secondment to the London office in 2008, in the course of which he developed his expertise in commercial law and gained new skills in arbitration and IP, particularly in relation to gambling and betting.

    Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Alexander worked for two and a half years in the banking department of a Paris-based law firm.

    • Acting in legal proceedings and providing expertise regarding the collapse of a large LBO.
    • Acting in legal proceedings of unfair competition between two French printers on behalf of one of the leaders of the direct marketing sector.
    • Acting in legal proceedings and providing expertise regarding the abusive breach of a construction contract for a foreign client.
    • Representing a client in emergency legal proceedings that have allowed the restitution of shares to a Canadian shareholder defrauded by other partners of a French company in the new technology sector.
    • Restructuring many insolvent subsidiaries of foreign client (solar business, industry, media).
    • Assisting French and foreign client (Japanese, Chinese, US, etc.) to buy insolvent businesses or assets in France.
    • Following up the insolvency procedure of many French creditors for one of the global actors of motor equipment (in addition with EU 1346/2000 regulation issues).
    • Negotiating, on behalf of a large English company, the payment of a debt by a Brazilian conglomerate, crossed seizures and emergency action.
    • Advising on a complex expert mission (pre-litigation stage) for a Dutch client against a French transport and logistic company (software editor).
    • Representing a client in a criminal proceedings before the French court against a former directors (for a US company – electronic sector).
    • Representing a client in emergency legal proceedings that have allowed the restitution of shares to a Canadian shareholder defrauded by other partners of a French company in the new technology sector.
    • Following up the insolvency procedure of many French creditors for one of the global actors of motor equipment (EU 1346/2000 regulation).
    • Negotiating, on behalf of an English company involved in the titanic work trade, of the payment of a debt by a Brazilian conglomerate, crossed seizures and emergency action.
    • Acting in legal proceedings of unfair competition between two French printers on behalf of one of the leaders of the direct marketing sector.
    • Acting in legal proceedings and providing expertise regarding the abusive breach of an construction contract.
    • Acting in legal proceedings and providing expertise regarding the collapse of an LBO.

    • He is also a Member of INSOL and the Insolvency Committee of the Paris Bar.
    • He is an official member of the well-known French associations Droit et Procédure and Droit et Commerce, and recently join the APCEF which focuses on damages.
    • Alexandre is a Member of the Insolvency Committee of the Paris Bar and a member of the Finance & Banking Research Centre of the Sorbonne University.
