Clive Lee is a senior associate in the Corporate Practice Group and has extensive experience advising listed and unlisted global and domestic clients in relation to cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, corporate governance, commercial transactions and other regulatory and corporate matters.

    Clive’s experience spans both specialist private practice, where he has worked closely with clients across a broad range of industries and sectors, including technology, energy and resources, financial services, and media and entertainment, and in-house practice as a senior legal counsel at a leading global professional services firm.

    • Advised Live Nation in relation to its acquisition of the Secret Sounds Group, which operates live festivals such as Splendour in the Grass and the Falls Festivals.
    • Acted for GB Group plc in relation to its acquisition of Vix Verify Global, an Australian identity verification business.
    • Acted for a high-profile US-based private equity fund in relation to the establishment of its first Venture Capital Limited Partnership (VCLP) in Australia and the successful raising of more than AU$150 million in committed capital. Also acted for the VCLP in relation to two successful investments into Australian businesses.
    • Advised a sovereign wealth fund from the United Arab Emirates in relation to its AU$120 million investment into an Australian private equity fund.
    • Acted for Takara Shuzo, a listed Japanese corporation, in relation to the establishment and operation of an Australia-based subsidiary.
    • Advised one of Australia’s largest diversified listed property groups in relation to the sale of an AU$200 million retail asset.
    • Advised a global biomedical instruments corporation in relation to the acquisition of assets from a global comprehensive healthcare corporation.
    • Advised one of Australia’s largest consulting firms in relation to the AU$10 million acquisition of an accountancy practice.
