Olivia Lynch is an associate in the Financial Services team.

    Olivia previously served as an associate in the strategy branch of the global regulatory reform team at a global bank in London, UK, where she provided advice across a range of regulatory developments to the bank’s emerging market clients in the UK, Europe, US and Asia in the field of fintech, especially artificial intelligence and Brexit. She also served as a transaction manger in the corporate asset and finance team, where she provided transactional management services to originators, borrowers, lenders and export credit agencies across acquisition/leverage finance, property finance, syndicated finance, restructuring/refinancing, structured trade finance, Islamic finance, project and project export finance and shipping and aircraft finance.

    Olivia is active in a number of business and community organisations. She was a mentor and co-chair of Pink Dynasty, a UK community interest programme designed to improve social mobility for gifted and talented young women from marginalised backgrounds.

    • Presented one of the “big four” Australian banks with information on how Brexit has and will affect financial regulatory developments in Europe and Australia.
    • Formulated an unprecedented presentation for the European branch of a global corporate bank explaining the financial regulatory developments they must adhere to once Brexit is initiated.
    • Prepared a presentation on the security aspects of the Personal Property Security Act for one of the “big four” banks and the remedies available for lenders if a borrower becomes insolvent.
    • Managed the legal re-domiciliation documentation to ensure a successful merger between two global liner shipping companies.
    • Managed the restructuring of a loan for a large syndicate of lenders in a US$150 million and US$400 million loan deal with a leading Indian steel and energy company that failed to make payments in line with Loan Market Association standards from an agent perspective.
