Charbel Maakaron is the managing partner of the firm’s Doha office. Charbel specializes in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters. Cited by Construction Week Online as “one of eight people to know in Qatar,” Charbel draws from his commercial and business law experience to advise clients on commercial transactions, corporate structuring, finance and securities, commercial litigation and capital markets. In addition, Charbel focuses his practice on regulatory and compliance matters and advises government clients on legislative projects.
Charbel has a diverse legal practice with a broad mix of prominent local and international clients. His specialization in international commercial law, coupled with a practical understanding of local laws, allows him to efficiently guide clients through the legal complexities of commercial transactions in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Before joining the firm, Charbel worked for four years in one of Beirut’s top law firms, where he handled complex litigation matters in civil and commercial law and gained considerable experience in corporate and business matters.
Charbel is a Chevening scholar and is fluent in English and Arabic and is also conversational in French.
