Debbie has more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of corporate real estate, including acquisitions and disposals and with a particular expertise in landlord and tenant law.

After obtaining her law degree, and prior to her qualification as a lawyer, she went to live and work in Hong Kong as a clerk to a barrister. Upon returning to the UK, she came to the firm as a paralegal and studied alongside working to qualify in 1992 as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She has now been qualified for nearly 20 years.

Debbie specialises in landlord and tenant work, acting for a wide variety of clients with whom she has very good relationships. In particular, she acts for Signet Group and Cancer Research UK (both clients of which we deal with the whole of their UK property portfolio). Much of Debbie’s work involves acting on behalf of tenants, but she also acts for client landlords, such as a large science park in Birmingham, dealing with its lettings and company restructuring. She also has experience in secured lending and refinancing and generally all property-related matters in connection with various client investors and occupiers.

Outside of work, Debbie has a large variety of interests. To give something back to the community, she has been a volunteer for the last eight years on a telephone helpline for The Samaritans.
