Sharon Payn is an associate with experience in workplace relations and policy review.

    Sharon advises clients across all areas of employment law and workplace relations, including drafting a variety of employment agreements and employment-associated documents. Sharon has worked for both Australian and global clients, predominately in the oil and gas industry.

    She is a contributor to the firm’s legal employment update to clients, Workplace View.

    In addition to her labour and employment experience, Sharon has extensive commercial and corporate law experience, including advising on business acquisitions, company secretarial matters and corporate governance.

    • Drafting and interpreting contracts of employment and independent contractor agreements.
    • Drafting and reviewing workplace policies, deeds of release and other employment documents.
    • Advice on discrimination, workplace bullying, unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
    • Advice in relation to the applicability of post-termination restraints, modern award application and employee entitlements.
    • Advice on business acquisitions, employee transfers and redundancies.
    • Assisting with workplace investigations.
