Renato Peral is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group in Leeds. Working closely with practices across the firm, he advises clients on commercial and contractual legal issues affecting their supplier, customer and third party relationships, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property, information technology and supply issues.

    Renato also advises clients on data protection matters and the management, exploitation, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights which subsist in their goods and services.

    Renato advises clients across industry sectors including food and beverages, gaming hospitality and entertainment, manufacturing, technology and telecommunications.

    • Advising a major international food and beverages manufacturer on trade mark licence arrangements with one of the world’s largest confectionary companies.
    • Advising one of Yorkshire’s most well-known brewing companies on its brewing, packaging and marketing contractual arrangements with a leading international brewing company.
    • Advising one of the world’s leading hospitality, entertainment and gaming companies based in the US on master and managed services agreements for information technology services.
    • Advising a provider of actuarial advice, pensions consultancy, administration, risk and investment services on core platform services agreements relating to proprietary interactive communication services, contractual arrangements with a telecommunications provider relating to electronic communications services and electronic access, trading and data licensing agreements.
    • Advising an international data and analytics consultancy on a commercial agreement with its South African joint venture subsidiary company on the licensing of IT infrastructure, trade names and associated intellectual property relating to a project between the joint venture subsidiary company and a major investment bank client.
    • Advising a Japanese subsidiary of a US company on an IT software services agreement.
    • Advising on the contractual aspects of a number of high value corporate transactions including the country’s largest transport and logistics recruitment specialist on the acquisition of a specialist provider of professional and labour services within the rail infrastructure sector and the £91 million refinancing of one of the largest fleet management and vehicle outsourcing providers in the UK.
