Colin is a corporate and private wealth lawyer. His practice focuses on corporate and cross-border transactions with an emphasis on PRC-related matters. He has experience in advising clients on private placements and private equity investments, as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions and international joint ventures in the PRC and Asia.

Colin’s expertise also extends to private wealth matters for ultra-high-net-worth families. His private wealth practice includes advising on the establishment of family offices, as well as family driven investments under various asset classes. He has been involved in the formation of internal investment vehicles, such as unit trusts and limited liability partnership funds, and has advised on matters relating to cross-border financial services regulations for family offices.

Prior to joining the firm, Colin was a capital markets lawyer in the Hong Kong offices of two other international US law firms, and prior to that time, trained and qualified with an international PRC law firm in Hong Kong. He has advised on a spectrum of capital markets matters, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, debt capital markets and cross-border M&A transactions, as well as compliance and regulatory matters for listed companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
