Madelaine is an associate in the International Dispute Resolution Group based in Dubai. She is an English qualified barrister with full rights of audience before all English courts and the DIFC Court. Before joining the firm, Madelaine practiced at the bar in London and at leading law firms in Dubai and Oman.
Madelaine advises on a range of disputes in both the arbitration and litigation arenas in the areas of construction and commercial law. Her experience includes advising on the merits of and conducting arbitration proceedings governed by the DIAC, ICC, DIFC-LCIA, ADCCAC rules and ad-hoc arrangements.
The jurisdictional reach of Madelaine’s practice includes the UAE, DIFC, Oman, Qatar and KSA.
She has a particular interest in the interplay between the onshore courts and international arbitration proceedings, including making applications for interim measures, attachment orders, challenges to awards and enforcement under the New York Convention.
