Meghna Rao assists insurance carriers and financial institutions with regulatory and corporate initiatives. She combines her experience as a litigator with perspectives gained while seconded to a Fortune 100 insurance carrier, where she helped streamline million-dollar changes to its commercial product lines of business while ensuring regulatory compliance across the state departments of insurance. She offers clients particular depth in property and casualty products and underwriting. Before focusing her practice on insurance, Meghna represented commercial clients in a number of industries in complex civil litigation and government investigation defense.

    In her free time, Meghna finds joy in giving back to the community. She serves as a volunteer lawyer at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, assisting with landlord tenant disputes and debt collection cases. She sits on the board of two organizations, Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Women Lawyers of Franklin County. Meghna is also an active member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Central Ohio, Ohio Women’s Bar Association and Columbus Bar Association.

    While attending law school, Meghna gained experience in risk analysis and brand protection, working in the legal division of a global consumer products company. She externed for Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor at the Supreme Court of Ohio and represented Moritz College of Law at the National Robert F. Wagner Moot Court Competition. Meghna received CALI awards for excellence in Professional Responsibility and the Justice for Children Practicum.
