Thomas Riley is a senior associate in our Corporate practice. He specialises in M&A (public and private), equity capital markets (acting for both issuers and lead managers on primary and secondary offerings), funds management (over the complete life cycle of retail and wholesale funds), joint ventures and start-ups, as well as provides general advice on corporate governance matters. Thomas brings his transactional experience and background as a qualified accountant to provide clients with commercial advice.

    • Acting for the joint lead managers on a fully underwritten AU$650 million placement by an ASX-listed Australian technology company and concurrent AU$270 million sell-down by the co-founders.
    • Acting for an ASX-listed diversified financial services company on its AU$1 billion+ placement, entitlement offer and share purchase plan to fund the acquisition of a wealth management business.
    • Advising on the merger of two listed funds via a trust scheme.
    • Advising on a corporate simplification via a de-stapling of units of two stapled funds.
    • Advising on the stapling of shares of a listed company with units of a listed fund and group restructure.
