Anne Marie Schloemer has broad experience defending clients in general litigation matters, with a particular emphasis in employment law and workers’ compensation.
Anne Marie defends clients in all general litigation claims from inception to resolution, including claims of property damage, personal injury, wrongful death, and breach of contract. She has experience working in all levels of the judicial system in numerous states.
Anne Marie’s general litigation practice extends into labor and employment expertise, where she defends employers in matters pertaining to Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and state discrimination laws.
Though an astute advocate when the situation warrants it, Anne Marie works strategically with clients to decrease the risk of employment-related litigation by ensuring that clients have the proper policies and procedures in place. She also regularly counsels clients through complicated disciple and leave-related issues, including new work-related challenges presented by COVID-19.
Additionally, Anne Marie specializes in workers’ compensation matters. She represents self-insured and state-funded clients throughout the course of administrative proceedings and appeals to court.
While attending law school at The Ohio State University, Anne Marie acted as a managing editor on the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. She also studied abroad for a summer at St. Anne’s College at the University of Oxford. During her time as an undergraduate at Syracuse University, Anne Marie spent a semester at the University of Wollongong in Australia studying politics in international media.
