Chris Skipper’s practice focuses on complex cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate structuring. He has substantial experience advising private, government and quasi-government institutions in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US, across a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, ports and infrastructure, technology, engineering and manufacturing, hospitality and leisure, and real estate.

    Chris has a strong background in private equity, and is experienced in acting on a broad range of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, concessions and corporate structuring, in both developed and emerging markets. His emerging markets knowledge and experience is invaluable in negotiating, drafting and successfully navigating the complexities of multijurisdictional transactions, with clients noting his ability to produce innovative ideas, excellent service and good workable solutions.

    • Advised certain shareholders on the acquisition of a distressed major commercial and residential tower in Dubai Marina.
    • Advised on the sale of the Kempinski Hotel & Resort, Djibouti.
    • Advised a listed US-based oil services group on various corporate structuring matters in the GCC.
    • Advised a private family office on joint venture and investment arrangements in relation to restaurant and hospitality operations in the UK.
