Philip Smitka is a litigation partner based in Böblingen, Germany. His practice focuses on litigation and both commercial and investment arbitration. His litigation practice ranges from product liability disputes over commercial disputes to investment disputes, namely under bilateral investment treaties. Philip has a strong industry focus in the automotive sector and has advised both original equipment manufacturers and suppliers namely on product liability and product safety, on supply chain issues and compliance.
Philip also has a broad commercial practice. He advises on commercial contracts, especially in an international context. Further, he advised on mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions. He also conducted internal investigations and regularly advised on compliance related issues in the context of product law and trade practice.
