Filip Stripaj is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group, following a two-year law clerkship with the firm.

    He has been involved in a variety of business transactions, including negotiation, drafting and review of contracts and other agreements associated with business activities, such as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He also participates in advising business clients on corporate governance and operations issues, such as the rights and responsibilities of corporate directors and officers and the general oversight of a company's legal activities. In addition to handling a wide range of legal issues for businesses, Filip has a strong background in technology.

    His work experience began in 2017 with various technology companies, where he developed advanced analytical skills. Among others, he participated in a project predicting AI legal data and was linked with one of the leading providers of technological innovation and modern IT solutions.

    • Advising Lincoln Electric on various business and employment matters, as well as on the subsequent liquidation of Lincoln Electric s.r.o., a local subsidiary.
    • Represented a Slovak municipality in a proceeding before Slovak court on cancellation of an arbitral award issued by a Slovak arbitral court.
    • Represented a Slovak municipality in a proceeding before Slovak court on return of unjust enrichment.
    • Represented a Slovak municipality in two proceedings before Slovak courts on payment of a contractual penalty.
    • Represented a Slovak municipality in a proceeding before the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic on special appeal relating to determination of ownership rights to land plots that are of significant importance to the municipality.
    • Representing one of the world's largest retailers in a complex real property title litigation relating to property under existing buildings and adjacent land. The representation involves a historical claim of legal title to land originally seized to historical owners by the Slovak state.
    • Advising a Slovak subsidiary of a science-led global pharmaceutical group to cover various areas of expertise, including general corporate, M&A, business transactions, regulatory and competition law and licensing, including in relation to labor and employment law, taking into account the specifics of the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Advising the US Embassy on the acquisition of prime-location land and buildings for the construction of the new US Embassy compound, including due diligence.
    • Assisting an international insurance company in connection with property insurance in the sale of warehouse and industrial parks in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic with a total value of more than €100 million. We provided the client with legal support regarding corporate matters related to the individual transferred parks.
    • Advising the foreign embassy in Slovakia in pre-litigation strategy and available legal options in a sub-lease relationship in relation to the unacceptable condition of the premises.
    • Assisting an international military contractor in relation to public procurement in Slovakia.
