Valérie Thiré’s practice focuses mainly on mutuality law and insurance law, as well as on contracts, both French and international contracts.
Advising on various fields of mutuality law and insurance law, especially regulations on insurance companies (including mutual associations, pension and contingency funds, mutual companies) and insurance intermediaries, life insurance, health insurance, insurance sales (including distance selling).
Assisting in the setting up of mutual associations and in the carrying out of reorganisation transactions (including mergers and spin-off) of mutual associations, unions of mutual associations, pension and contingency funds.
Assisting in the carrying out of portfolio transfers between various types of insurers (mutual associations, insurance companies, pension and contingency funds).
Insurance policy and contracts drafting ; drafting of various types of contracts regarding insurance matters, insurance partnerships, distribution of insurance.
Prior notifications, with the French “Autorité de la Concurrence” (and previously the Ministry of Economy and Finances) of concentration operations resulting from mergers between mutual associations of from the setting up of full-function joint ventures.
